Nancy - and Mike says hi, too
Hi Bill – I’m finally catching up on your podcasts – you two are doing a great job! I’m going to send a link to a birding friend who’s very active in the Audubon Society in Portland, OR.
This fungi podcast brings back great memories of walking in the woods with my dad on a spring day and then watching him take over the kitchen to fry up the morels we found.
Mostly I remember the aroma of them cooking – dredged in flour or cornmeal and sizzling in a pan of bacon drippings. But I was one of those kids not adventurous enough to actually try eating them!
My dad grew up on a farm near Hamilton and he knew where to look for morels in the woods – as well as arrowheads and other Native American artifacts in the plowed fields 🙂
It is a dream come true to do this podcast with Bill. With your help we can inspire more people to get outside. Thanks so much for taking the time to share a link to the podcasts! -Bob
