I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought those were baby hummingbirds!! My mom and I had been at the nature center and had seen them in the old butterfly garden and we couldn’t get over it, seeing all those baby hummingbirds. Then we looked closer and did some research and found out they were moths. I still love seeing them and remembering that.

Thanks for sharing your story. That is neat that you took a closer look and then followed up with some research.

Hi Bill and Bob,
The very day this podcast went live was the first time I have EVER seen a hummingbird moth! That afternoon I saw one visiting one of our butterfly bushes. It was so great to be able to identify it immediately and know that it will be a repeat visitor. Thanks for all your enjoyable and informative podcasts.
