Love your podcasts. Couldn’t find pileated woodpecker podcast though. I had one of these birds fly through the window into my coastal home. It was hurt and stunned. I put it in a box overnight and opened the box outside in the morning. Surprised how the box was so light. I opened the box and there it was staring at me. I think we were both surprised! It flew off – but peaked around a nearby tree at me, I was so caught up in the experience I don’t have a photo. Amazing bird. Now I have 4-5 Acorn woodpeckers at my feeder. The Stellar blue jays wait their turn – the finches come after. Again- you guys are great together- nice complement.
