Sassafras is Fun to Say

December 26, 2017 by Lisa 3 Comments

Sassafras is a tree that produces a small blue fruit in the early fall. The fruit comes at the perfect time to help birds get ready for winter. This is a beautiful tree that has four different leaf shapes. Bill of course has a special word for trees that have different shape leaves. Photos taken by Bob at the Cincinnati Nature Center.

    Hi guys!
I love all the botany terminology in this one!
I’m writing to request Bob’s top 10 trees! He mentioned that this was one on the list, so I would LOVE to hear more. I’m sharing this episode in my FaceBook group “Garden and Forage with Greenwood Farm”.
Thanks a million, and keep on being inspired- I love your show!!!!
